I am pleased to announce that John Fairfax has been appointed as Site Manager for our Gillingham Cold Store. The appointment, effective from 2nd December 2008 is an important step in the future development of the Gillingham site, which was acquired in March 2008.
John has a wealth of experience gained from working in the temperature controlled warehousing sector over the last decade. Prior to joining Norish he has worked for Eddie Stobart Chilled and the Yearsley Group in Business Development roles and is now looking forward to the challenge of managing Norish’s latest acquisition.
The Gillingham cold store which is located 15 miles south of the M25 and just off the M2 now offers over 6,000 pallets of temperature controlled storage. Frozen and chilled pallet storage is provided at the site by a new mobile racking installation with stock control supported by a leading edge industry standard warehouse management system. The site is Customs Bonded and Export approved and also offers order picking, blast freezing and distribution services.
This appointment will further strengthen our management team and will enable the Company to reinforce its standing as one of the leading providers of temperature controlled warehousing operations across the country.
